South African Airways Named 'Best Airline In Africa'

Fort Lauderdale, FL (July 13, 2016) – South African Airways (SAA), the national flag carrier of South Africa and Africa’s most awarded airline, has been named, “Best Airline in Africa” by Skytrax for the fourteenth consecutive year.  The award was presented to SAA at the Skytrax World Airline Awards ceremony during the annual Farnborough Airshow in England on July 11th

These prestigious awards are based on a consumer satisfaction survey that is conducted annually by Skytrax, an independent aviation research organization, which received 19.2 million entries from business and leisure travelers around the globe.  The online survey is open from August 2015 through May 2016, giving travellers and opportunity to rate their experience, both in the air and on the ground, and includes more than 200 airlines from the largest international carriers to smaller regional and domestic carriers.  It measure customer satisfaction across 41 key performance indicators of airline front-line products and service including; check-in, boarding, on-board seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, cuisine, beverages, inflight entertainment and staff service.

'Red River Skijoring,' A First For New Mexico


The inaugural Red River Skijoring races in Red River, New Mexico will be held on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, 2016.  The races start each day at High Noon on River Street in Red River, New Mexico. 

In skijoring, a skier hangs on to a rope attached to a horse and glides across the snow .  It is like horse-drawn waterskiing on snow. Best of all Skijoring is a thrilling spectator sport.  With speeds of up to 40 mph, the action is fast-paced and exciting.  You see the skiers being towed by a horse at a full gallop.

Horse. Cowboy. Skier. Rope.  This high-adrenaline, sport combines all four. Teams race through a time-trial course with skiers navigating gates, jumps, and at times even spearing rings. Authentic horsepower and big spills make this truly one-of-a-kind winter western event a must see for the whole family!

The event is free for spectators.

LEVEL Celebrates Opening Of New Property

(Los Angeles, CA) – Onni Group, a leading Vancouver-based real estate developer, hosted a lively and memorable evening celebration on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2015 to commemorate the opening of LEVEL Furnished Living, Downtown Los Angeles’ first and only serviced luxury residences.
 
The rooftop deck of LEVEL Furnished Living was transformed into whimsical evening affair that welcomed hundreds of guests, including media personnel, influential Angelenos and current tenants of the property. While the party took place on the rooftop deck of the property, guests were also invited to tour a few of the fully-furnished rooms available at LEVEL Furnished Living.
 
Music for the evening started with a live performance by Las Vegas headliners The Jennifer Keith Quintet, featuring first-class jazz and classic American sounds, followed by the modern DJ stylings of Donald Lauture. Entertainment for the evening also included repeat appearances of the colorful and popular animal stilt puppets and beautiful, energetic bubble girl gogo dancers from Zen Arts.  Other entertainment included a high octane demonstration by Soul Cycle,  an incoming tenant on LEVEL Furnished Living’s first floor.
 
As guests enjoyed music and entertainment, food and cocktails were abundantly served. The party’s three fully-stocked bars were staffed by Cocktail Academy with a water bar by Aquahydrate. Kensington Caterers passed out rounds of delightful canapés and Terroni presented a spread of fresh Italian charcuterie, cheeses and cold pasta while nearby, Peking Tavern served hot, authentic Chinese dumplings. In addition, a gourmet mini burger station was set up, complete with burger fixings as well as sweet potato and garlic french fries. Various bite-sized desserts fromLocal Table  were passed around later in the evening, and upon departure, guests enjoyed the warm comfort of made-to-order grilled cheese sandwiches from the Grilled Cheese Truck.

Scare Parks and Haunted Farms Attract Thrill Seekers

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (October 15, 2015) – Orange County, N.Y. is home to some of the scariest Halloween attractions in America. Historically, tens of thousands of people from as far away as Philadelphia, Boston and Connecticut make the trip to these Hudson Valley haunts to be horrified. This year, old favorites are promising a more extreme experience than ever, and a new scare park is making its inaugural debut.
